Margaret N. Barrios

Margaret passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago with her loving family at her side.

Margaret was born November 7, 1970, A loving daughter to Sylvia Soto and a devoted mother to Jessica Barrios, Emanuel Diaz, Christian Diaz and Jessenia Diaz. A proud grandmother to Malina Barrios. Margaret passed after a long battle with cancer. Though GOD called her home, she battled this disease head on using only her FAITH and overcame anything that stood in her way! Margaret was indeed a fighter.  

As hard as she fought, she loved even harder. With a heart of gold and a nurturing spirit, Margaret touched the lives of many. Always willing to help in anyway. Her children and especially her granddaughters were her world. Always going above and beyond, with a listening ear and a heart filled with love.

She deeply loved everyone she knew, with a laugh so contagious, she would brighten up the day. Though she will be extremely missed, she left behind an impression on every heart, one that will carry on for a lifetime.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4-8pm at our HAMMOND location 4404 Cameron Ave.

A private cremation will follow.
