Katherine "Kathy" Lopez

Katherine Lopez (nee Crespos), 67, of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family

Kathy was born January 11, 1957 in Puerto Rico to Julio and Justina Crespos. 

She grew up in South Chicago and was a graduate of Bowen High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, Tia, grandma and friend.

Kathy was known for her craftiness, generosity, Puerto Rican cooking, and gift of gab. Kathy loved to talk but more importantly loved to listen. 

Kathy is survived by her highschool sweetheart and husband of 47 years, Ricardo Lopez Sr., her sons Ricardo Jr (wife Crystal) and Edward (wife Christine), grandchildren,  Ariana, Mason, Aubree and Eli. Siblings, Margarita Lopez and Gilberto Crespos Sr. and many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Julio and Justina Crespos.
