Katherine "Katie" Lipkovitch

Katherine Louise Lipkovitch, age 44, tragically passed away on September 13, 2025 due to an unexpected stroke. Katie is proceeded in death by Samuel and Ilo Mcpheron and Gerald Lipkovitch. Katie was born in 1981 on the 13th, of September at St. Catherines hospital in East Chicago, Indiana and grew up in Hammond, Indiana. Katie went to St. Paul Lutheran grade school in Munster, Indiana then graduated from George Rogers Clark in Whiting, Indiana in 2000. Katie worked at Dutch Farms as an account receivable specialist.

She is survived by her daughter, Miranda Ilo Younger, her mother, Georgina Rae Lipkovitch, brother, Gerald George Lipkovitch, sister-in-law, Kelly Lipkovitch, nieces, Cora Rae Lipkovitch and Elayna Christine Lipkovitch, best friends Rachel Tyler and Rebecca Griffith.

Katie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; Chatting and spending time with friends and family, going to local yard sales and giveaways, and attending all of her daughter’s games and events. Katie had a gravitational ability to reach people in a deep positive way. Her willingness to help others is matched by her kindness. Katie’s unconditional love for her daughter was shown by how much she talked about her, showing off her pictures and being her biggest fan in the stands.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Munster, IN 8601 Harrison Ave on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Visitation starting at 10:30am with a service immediately flowing at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers we ask to donate to the go fund me for Miranda's future. We invite all who knew and loved our sweet Katie to join us in honoring and celebrating her life.

Katie will be deeply missed but forever remembered for that beautiful smile, contagious laugh, her unconditional love and the light she brought to the loved ones around her.
