Jean passed away on June 28, 2023 at Methodist Hospital, Gary. She is survived by her former husband Mark, brothers Nick Soeka, Ted (Sheila) Soeka, Tony (Lorna) Soeka, and sister Cathy (Bob) Malkowski, close friend Kerri Alanza, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Catherine Soeka, brothers Frank (Mary), Paul and John (Cheryl) Soeka, and sisters Sandy Pelletier, Mary (Kevin) Cox, and Jackie Reppa.

Jean was born and raised in Lansing, Illinois. She and her twin brother John were the youngest of 11 children.

She was a graduate of St. Ann’s Catholic school in Lansing and TF South High School in Lansing.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, July 6^th, at 10am DIRECTLY at All Souls Catholic Parish at St. Ann Church. 3010 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL 60438 with Fr. Mark Kalema officiating.

A burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.
