Janina Kepa

Janina Kepa, affectionately known as Jasia, left this world on March 3, 2026, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born on September 11, 1931 in Eastern Poland as the beloved daughter to Leon and Sabina Zarzycki and was later preceeded by her husband Miron Kepa of 56 years.

Jasia's legacy lives on through her cherished children, Jadwiga, Zbigniew (Mary), and Christopher (Diane), who carry forward the love and values she instilled in them. As a grandmother, she took pride in her grandchildren Adam, Sarah, Christina, Nathanial and Nicholas. She was blessed with her great-grandchildren, Felix, Sloan, Max, Hudson, Adra, and Emma.

Services celebrating Janina's life will be held at the Acevez Funeral Home located at 4404 Cameron Ave, Hammond, IN 46327. The visitation will take place on March 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Mass in her honor at St. Casimir Church, situated at 4340 Johnson Avenue, Hammond, IN 46327, starting at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM.

Janina will be remembered for her love of food and her extraordinary culinary talents. Her unselfish love and charity was also paralled by her fundamental belief in justice and fairness when dealing with others. We celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives and the lessons that were lived and learned thru her life. Jasia, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
