beloved husband Paul G. Udchitz, her parents Lewis and Marie (Maszinski) Wojciehowski, sister Dorothy,

Helen was a longtime parishioner at St. Casimir’s in North Hammond and participated in many of their
organizations, including the Rosary Ladies, and donated time to the parish functions. She was also a
member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of American Legion Post 330 in Calumet City. She worked at Delaney
Printing in Hammond for a few years and at Amoco in Whiting for 20+ years. She kept in touch with her
former coworkers/friends from Amoco, getting together for lunch (“Amoco Babes”) as often as they
could.
Helen was an avid follower of polka music, along with her husband Paul, traveling near and far to many
polka dances and functions through the years. While she was a fan of the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and
Blackhawks, she was most loyal to the Chicago Cubs and looked forward to the start of every season.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, and looked forward to getting photos and
videos regularly if she couldn’t see them in person. She donated to many charities, especially those
supporting children. Helen enjoyed playing pinochle and other card games, and also tried her luck at
scratch-off lottery tickets and video slot machine games. Helen loved her family wholeheartedly,
supporting them in many ways over the years, and she will be dearly missed.
