Donna M. Tsikurios

Donna M. Tsikurios, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 66, in East Chicago, Indiana. Born on May 25, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Donna's journey began surrounded by the vibrant spirit of the Windy City. She graduated from George Washington High School in Chicago in 1977, a moment that marked the start of a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

For 42 wonderful years, Donna shared her life with her devoted husband, Kenneth A. Tsikurios, Sr. Together, they built a family rooted in affection and resilience. Donna was a proud mother to Virginia Hack, Steven (Ashley Cooper) Tsikurios, and Kenneth A. Tsikurios, Jr. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, especially in the smiles of her cherished grandchildren, Ethen Tsikurios and Mary-Anne Hack. Donna’s pride in her growing family was evident to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through them.

Known for her lively personality, Donna was personable, funny, and sassy—traits that endeared her to friends and family alike. She was also a fierce protector of those she loved, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit; she adored gardening, baking, riding her bicycle, and dedicating her time to volunteering in her community. Each of these passions demonstrated her nurturing nature and commitment to bringing joy to the lives of others.

Donna is also survived by her dear sister, Renee (Donald) Kaczmarjewski, and her brother, Edward (Glor) Cote', along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her for the love she freely shared and the laughter that filled her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Elliott, and her parents, Edward (Carol) Cote' and Mary (Roger) Highland. Their memory, along with her spirited and vibrant life, will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
