Blanche E. Iglesias

In loving memory of Blanche Edith Iglesias of Lares, Puerto Rico, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana.

She was in presence of her loving family. Blanche was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on October 23, 1946. She was a long-time resident of East Chicago, Indiana.

She is survived by her children; Rose Iglesias; Francisco M. Iglesias (Belinda Iglesias); and Albert Vallejo (Cynthia Vallejo). She had twelve grandchildren; Minely, Josselyn, Janette, Christian, Christopher, Alize, Anthony, Devin, Aly, Crystal, Lexy and Niko. Six great grandchildren; Bradley, Yandres, Yanrandy, Isaac, Andrew and Alivia.

Sisters include Carmen, Gloria, Virginia, Martha, Diana, Mary, and Consuelo.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Preceded in death by husband Francisco S. Iglesias in 1998.

She was a servant of our lord and Jesus Christ and a Soldier of the Salvation Army for twenty-six years in East Chicago, Indiana.

The family will receive friends from Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Service will be Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Acevez Funeral home located at 4918 Magoun Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana.

The family would also like to express their thanks for the outpouring of love and support received during this very difficult time.
