Anna Rusnak

Anna Rusnak, born on November 15, 1943, in Morawczyna, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Munster. She was a cherished member of her family and community, and her loss is deeply mourned by all who knew her.

Anna lived a life filled with devotion and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be treasured by many. Her journey began in Morawczyna Poland, where she was born, and continued with a lifetime of love and dedication that touched the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved children: Maria Bobowiec (Józef Bobowiec), Anna Klys, John Swiatek (Barbara Swiatek), and Elizabeth Chudziak. Anna was a proud and devoted grandmother to Krysztof (Jolanta), Joanna, Sylvia (Steve), Edyta (William), Daniel (Emma), Klaudia (Zachary), Natalie (Gilbert), Matthew, David, Alicia (Mitchell), Dominik, and Jacob. Her great-grandchildren—David, Krystian, Maja, Liam, Chase, Emma, Espen, Rowan, Sofia, Maddox, Luka, Barrett, Isabella, Leo, and Julian—were the joy and pride of her later years.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Jan Rusnak, and her son-in-law, Janusz Chudziak, whose memories remain forever in the hearts of the family.

Family, friends, and all who wished to pay their respects are invited to attend the visitation at Acevez Funeral Home Hammond, located at 4404 Cameron Ave, Hammond, IN 46327, on April 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A further visitation with family will take place on April 23, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location.

A Mass honoring Anna's life will be held at St. Casimir Church, 4340 Johnson Avenue, Hammond, IN 46327, on April 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, where friends and family will come together to celebrate her remarkable life and bid a final farewell.

Anna Rusnak’s life was marked by love, strength, and an enduring commitment to her family. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
