Anna Rusnak, born on November 15, 1943, in Morawczyna, peacefully passed away on April 20, 2026, in Munster. Her life was marked by devotion to family and community, and she will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew her.

Anna’s journey through life was one of love, dedication, and resilience. She was a cherished wife to the late Jan Rusnak and a loving mother to her children Maria Bobowiec (Józef Bobowiec), Anna Klys, John Swiatek (Barbara Swiatek), and Elizabeth Chudziak. Her family extended beyond her children to include her sisters Maria Gal and Elżbieta Stekala, and her brother Józef Gal. She was predeceased by her brothers Śp Eugeniusz Gal and Śp Stanisław Gal. Anna’s family was also enriched by her son-in-law Janusz Chudziak.

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren Krysztof (Jolanta), Joanna, Sylvia (Steve), Edyta (William), Daniel (Emma), Klaudia (Zachary), Natalie (Gilbert), Matthew, David, Alicia (Mitchell), Dominik, and Jacob. She was also a proud great-grandmother to David, Christian, Maja, Liam, Chase, Emma, Espen, Rowan, Sophia, Maddox, Luka, Barrett, Isabella, Leo, and Julian, whose lives she touched deeply.

Anna’s life will be honored through a series of services beginning with a visitation on April 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Acevez Funeral Home Hammond, located at 4404 Cameron Ave, Hammond, IN 46327. On April 23, 2026, a visitation with family will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the same location. Following the visitation, a Mass to celebrate Anna’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Church, 4340 Johnson Avenue, Hammond, IN 46327.

Anna Rusnak’s passing leaves a profound sense of loss, yet the memory of her unwavering love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire her family and friends. She will be remembered as a pillar of her community and an embodiment of grace and compassion throughout her years.

Her family, both living and departed, are a testament to the strong bonds she nurtured throughout her life. The warmth and devotion she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
